Jodie Williams is the owner and founder of The Training Edge Group, LLC. She is a dynamic speaker, an accomplished trainer, and a skilled consultant who approaches her audiences with enthusiasm and energy. With more than fourteen
years of experience as a top manager working in and with the
pharmaceutical, airline, and banking industries, Jodie has been the
recipient of numerous awards for outstanding performance. The recognition
that she has achieved throughout her career reflects her ability to
motivate, coach, develop, and train others. Community service work is at the core of Jodie’s life, and enhances her professional career. She is a dedicated Big Sister for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Atlanta, a volunteer supervisor for Habitat for Humanity and was on the Board of Directors at The Bridge (a group home for troubled teenagers). Jodie is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, The American Society of Training and Development and the Atlanta Women’s Network. She has also pursued her talents as a comedian and is a graduate of the Jeff Justice Comedy Workshoppe.
Rhonda C. Hight
Rhonda C. Hight is a consultant who works with organizations to design and deliver developmental training programs. She delights her audiences with her humorous insights and facilitates learning in a way that encourages participants to apply the skills to life. Rhonda is a fourteen-year member of Toastmasters International and past president of the Coca-Cola Company’s communication and leadership club. She is also a member of The American Society for Training and Development, The National Association for Female Executives, and The American Entrepreneur Association. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for the Metro Atlanta Furniture Bank and on the board of the Atlanta Human Resources Association as a General Director. Rhonda has appeared as a guest on local radio and television talk shows, won numerous speech awards, and formerly co-produced and co-hosted Dialogue in Motion, a lifestyles and current events radio talk show in Atlanta. She is the recipient of the 1995 and 1997 Atlanta Human Resources Association President’s Award, the 1995 Speakers Bureau Chairperson of The Year Award, and Rolling Out’s (an urban style weekly) 2000 Sole Proprietor Business of the Year Award. Inclusive of her social
and civic affiliations are The American Cancer Foundation, Dekalb Small
Business Advisory Council, the Atlanta Employers’ Voluntary Task Force on
Youth Motivation, and she is an alumnus of The United Way of Metro
Atlanta’s Voluntary Involvement Program. Gena Kay Shealy
Gena Kay Shealy is a motivational speaker and training facilitator with eleven years of experience. She has spoken to audiences throughout the United States and delighted them with her wit and stories. Her areas of expertise include Stress Management, Balancing Work and Personal Life, and Managing Life and Time. As a certified Essi Systems StressMap® trainer; Gena Kay has provided numerous organizations with the skills and tools to reduce stress in the workplace. Gena Kay earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia where she studied Speech and Language Pathology and her Masters degree in counseling from the University of Tennessee. She has been the recipient of numerous awards presented by previous employers to recognize her outstanding performance. In addition to her
corporate experience, Gena Kay is a member of the American Society of
Training and Development (ASTD). She also actively gives back to the
community as a volunteer at Calvin Court (a Presbyterian retirement home)
and Prison Ministries with Women. She has helped build several Habitat for
Humanity homes in the Atlanta area and participated in a build in Belfast,
N. Ireland in 1999. She traveled to the Dominican Republic in May 2000 to
work with Bridge Builders, Inc. in building a school. Alisa Osborn
Alisa Osborn is the creative designer for The Training Edge Group, LLC. She helps design the TEG’s training workbooks and other marketing materials. She also acts as Administrative Assistant to Jodie Williams. Her background in office management includes positions in commercial real estate, court reporting, and pharmaceutical sales. Alisa is goal oriented and skilled at meeting deadlines, which gives her an edge and allows her to meet customer needs. She has taken numerous computer classes in Advanced PowerPoint, Editing, and Outlook. She enjoys her work and prefers it to be unique and fresh. Alisa volunteers in her community and local church. She has a beautiful singing voice and is lead vocalist in the Lost Mountain Community Church band. Her supportive personality and ability to see the positives in everyone make her an essential member of the team.
Shawn Devine is a consultant and trainer specializing in the development, assessment and implementation of human resource strategies. He provides a wide range of services, including assessing and auditing Human Resource practices, employee training and development, ongoing support services, and special projects. For over 10 years, Shawn has been designing, implementing and delivering programs and human resource solutions that help higher education and business organizations develop the people they employ. Before becoming a consultant, Shawn was a human resource team member of the U.S. division of an international insurance company. While there, he developed the corporate training curriculum, designed and delivered training programs, and evaluated the impact of the training programs on employee performance. Shawn provided coaching and support for managers and resolution of employee relations and performance issues. Additionally, he upgraded and managed the company’s performance management system as well as the compensation and human resources information systems. Formerly, Shawn worked for a private university in Georgia where he was primarily responsible for staff training and education. He also made presentations and facilitated training events addressing a range of topics at local and national conferences. Shawn holds a Master’s degree in education from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Carolina State University. He is certified in a number of training programs, including Dr. Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, Blessing White’s Managing Personal Growth and Helping Others Succeed, and Employment Learning Innovations’ Civil Treatment programs. Shawn is currently a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society for Training and Development.
An
energetic and dynamic facilitator, trainer, and consultant, Dana Pigford
provides professional development training focused on involving
participants in the learning experience. As a project manager with AT&T
and a management consultant with both IBM Consulting and EMC
Corporation, Dana provided expertise and operational results in the
areas of business process reengineering, organizational development,
workflow analysis and redesign, quality standards development, meeting
facilitation, team building, and business strategy development. As a
management consultant, she consulted to Discovery Channel, Discovery.com,
PGA Tour, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Rainbow Network Communications, and
Broadband Telecommunications among other companies. She constantly pulls
on her broad corporate experience to bring real life examples into the
classroom.
